Student Life

Our vision is to impart young lady cadets proper academic as well as physical development by providing them with a healthy, safe and nurturing environment. Equal weightage is given to academic as well as military training & co-curricular activities. All selected cadets are residential students and have a well designed daily schedule. Enough spaces for messing, rest and leisure are provided to make the effective use of the students time. Along with preparation of school examination, proper guidance for various competitive examinations is provided:

  • High school Scholarship
  • Drawing Grade Examination
  • NTS examination
  • Homi Bhabha Exam. Etc.

As a part of Military Training Component, Horse Riding, Karate, Archery, Obstacle course, Shooting, Drill, Yoga, Map reading are taught through eligible faculties. State of the art infrastructure is made available for all types of sports. like badminton, table-tennis ,basket ball, volley ball, kho-kho, kabaddi etc. We also provide trained coaches and efficient staff members for these sports.


  Co-curricular Activities:

  • Apart from academics and sports, a number of co-curricular activities are designed to observe the basic principles of national values, strong patriotism and social commitment. The twenty-four hours facility is at our disposal to fulfill the aim.
  • Being the residential school, ‘Houses System’ is available. Various creative competitions are arranged now and then to illucidate their creativity and skill.

Our activity ‘Environment Awareness and Conservation through Green Concepts’ is unique in its features. To inculcate the right sense of environment in a very appropriate age and also to cater the need of Time, we focus a lot. Being a residential school spread over 30 acres of land in the vicinity of nature, it is practically possible for us to enhance the programme. ‘Solid Waste Management’ lies in the central place and a number of relevant activities revolve round it. ‘Cultivation of Organic vegetables’, ‘Tree (especially Amla) Plantation’, ‘One Tree, One Child’ programme,Sacred Grove (Devrai), ‘Nakshatrawan’, ‘Vermi Composting’ by the students and a number of ‘Green Games’ are the various activities specially focused on and it is tried to develop ecological as well as civic sense. Maharashtra Education Society and Praj Foundationhave been working in collaboration since 2008. The strong support of Praj foundation for must be mentioned which is really boost for us.


It’s a special framed programme meant for the students of eighth standard. This is exactly the high time to accept and know what is ‘vidyawrat’. The physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual development is expected hence after and the student is expected to set the goal peacefully. This certainly helps the students to concentrate on her goal and go ahead. A series of lectures, project, tour are the things arranged to make the activity a success.


The Annual issue published every year could be our one more speciality. Right from the designing of the coverpage to the last page, everything including articles, pictures, puzzles, collection etc. is the beautiful outcome of our budding talent. Besides, every year a theme is taken and the contents rotate around it. The glimpses of the issue are certainly fascinating and worth praising.

 Career in Defence Services

Being the Sainik School, it is mainly expected to join Defence Services through special entry scheme for women. After completion of graduation in any faculty, the girls will appear for the CDSE (Combined Defence Service Exam.) and then SSB (Service Selection Board) interview. The guidance for such examination is given through the concerned ex-service officials.
